Cancer-Free Friday: My Favorite Blogs

2 Sep

Cancer-Free Friday has such a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

Yesterday was one of my best days yet! I felt really good and got a ton of work done at the office. And today is Friday AND it’s a holiday weekend. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite blogs with you. I subscribe to a bazillion blogs, but only read a small amount of them regularly. I’m an information junkie and even though I don’t have time to read them all, I like to “collect” them all.  :)

Michael Hyatt
He’s at the top of the list for a reason. This blog is, in my opinion, the BEST all-around personal and professional growth blog you will find. He consistently publishes useful, interesting information in an easy-to-digest manner.

The Pioneer Woman
If you’ve not heard of The Pioneer Woman, please come out from the under your rock. :) This is my favorite all-around blog for cooking, photography, humor, etc. Ree Drummond is a riot and whips up some mean recipes.

Tasty Kitchen
A cooking share site created by The Pioneer Woman. Includes some great reader recipes + reviews.

The Ooey Gooey Daily News
This is my friend, Sarah Lawhorn’s blog – she’s adorable and funny and her baby, Jack makes me smile big smiles.

Proverbs 31 – Encouragement for Today
Daily devotions written by various authors.

Lysa TerKeurst
One of the co-founders of Proverbs 31 Ministries, she has a special way of encouraging and motivating me spiritually.

Living Proof Ministries
Beth Moore & Company. Always encouraging, usually funny, sometimes crazy writings of a woman boldly living her faith.

T. Suzanne Eller
Writer, speaker, cancer survivor, and one of the Proverbs 31 devotion authors. Love her straightforward, real, optimistic take on life.

Smashing Magazine
One of the best web design and development blogs around.

Vandalay Design
Great web design blog with tons of quality information and resources.

Seth Godin
Author, speaker, and business guru who sees the obvious that we often miss and makes it make sense.

Jon Acuff
Author, speaker, funny guy who writes satirically about the Christian life and makes me go “hmmm…..”

The Lettered Cottage
Very funny, home decor/design folks from my hometown, Prattville!

Nesting Place
I love her style of decorating and the way she tries to do it without breaking the bank.

Paislee Press
Some digital scrapbooking can be so “cheesy,” but not this gal. I love her design style.

One Little Bird
Another digital scrapbooker with a contemporary design style that I love.

Leave a comment and share some of your favorite blogs. I’d love to find some good, new ones!

And lastly, here’s one of the many quotes that I love (and I love, love, LOVE quotes):

Have a wonderful weekend!!

I am not sure that I can handle your Cancer-free Friday posts. The last one on Pinterest has consumed my week! Now having to go and check out all of these blogs will be a problem too. Yikes.
PS Why are you up and doing stuff before 5 A.M. – you are a Smith Girl!?!?!?!

Sorry :) You know me well enough to know that I am not up and on the pc at 5 am. I write them the night before and schedule them to go live in the morning.

I am HONORED to be #4!! Obviously my posts lately are all centered around Mr. Jack – which makes me wonder… what did I write about before???

Love you and LOVE Cancer Free Fridays!!

The fact that I know you in person and you’re funny gives you a pretty high ranking! :)
