If you’re not familiar with her, Beth Moore is a world-renowned author, speaker and Bible teacher. She is an excellent teacher with an intense desire to teach other women about God. I’ve learned a lot from the studies and books she’s written.
This is how the publisher describes the study:
Nehemiah: A Heart That Can Break – Member Book by Kelly Minter is a 7-session Bible study for women. Nehemiah’s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. Like Kelly’s other studies in the Living Room Series, you’ll find authentic Bible teaching, recipes, and a relational approach. Nehemiah also includes 7 video sessions and real-life ways to put feet to your faith. Are you ready to let God break your heart for a hurting, lost world and move you in compassion to be the hands and feet of Jesus?
It’s so easy to become complacent and not notice those around us who are hurting – even though we don’t usually have to look very far to find someone who could use a hand. We get comfortable in our own little safe bubbles, relax in the pleasure of having everything we need, and ignore those who are lacking so much – whether that be love, or food, or encouragement, or clothing, or hope. What can we do to help others? This study will hopefully help us open our eyes to the world around us.
You can download a free sample of the study by clicking here. There’s also a video about it that can be found on LifeWay’s website (it wouldn’t let me embed the video into this page for you to see here, so you’ll have to click over to their site to watch it).
If you are interested in participating in this online study, you can find the details of how the online process works at this post on the Living Proof blog. The first day of the study will be Tuesday, June 26. On that day you will be able to visit the Living Proof blog and find a video from Beth along with some study questions and then discuss it with the other participants via the blog, if you like. She will post a new video every two weeks, so the pace is completely manageable if you have a busy schedule.
The workbook can be purchased from one of the following sources:
I’ve never participated in one of Beth’s online summer Bible studies before, but I’m going to do it this time. Let me know if you decide to join in the study, also. I would love to encourage you along the way!
Have a wonderful day!
